“Could you not keep watch for one hour?
Keep watching and praying.”
Mark 14:37-38

PRAISE . . . . . . . . . . . .
Exalt God by talking about His attributes, creation, and works.

Psalm 99:1-9:
The Lord is king!
Let the nations tremble!
He sits on his throne between the cherubim.
Let the whole earth quake!
The Lord sits in majesty in Jerusalem,[a]
exalted above all the nations.
Let them praise your great and awesome name.
Your name is holy!
Mighty King, lover of justice,
you have established fairness.
You have acted with justice
and righteousness throughout Israel.[b]
Exalt the Lord our God!
Bow low before his feet, for he is holy!
Moses and Aaron were among his priests;
Samuel also called on his name.
They cried to the Lord for help,
and he answered them.
He spoke to Israel from the pillar of cloud,
and they followed the laws and decrees he gave them.
O Lord our God, you answered them.
You were a forgiving God to them,
but you punished them when they went wrong.
Exalt the Lord our God,
and worship at his holy mountain in Jerusalem,
for the Lord our God is holy!

WAITING . . . . . . . . . . . .
Silently focus on God’s love and your love for HIm. Spend time in wordless worship.

Psalm 46:10:
Be still, and know that I am God!
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world.

CONFESSION . . . . . . . . . . . .
Ask God to reveal to you specific sins; repent and ask for forgiveness.

Psalm 139:23-24:
Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Point out anything in me that offends you,
and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

1 John 1:8-9:
If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth.
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

SCRIPTURE PRAYER . . . . . . . . . . . .
Pray the prayers written in scripture, speaking directly to God
(make the Scripture Promises your own).

Ephesians 3:14-15:
When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father,[a] 15 the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. 21 Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

WATCHING . . . . . . . . . . . .
Ask God for spiritual instruction and enlightenment concerning your local ministry.

Acts 20:28:
So guard yourselves and God’s people. Feed and shepherd God’s flock—his church, purchased with his own blood[a]—over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as elders.

OUTREACH . . . . . . . . . . . . Pray for individuals, your local community, your nation, and the international outreach of the gospel.

Matthew 9:37-38 & 24:14:
He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. 38 So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”

And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations[a] will hear it; and then the end will come.

INTERCESSION . . . . . . . . . . . .
Lift up family members, fellow saints, employees, governments, and for others that God inspires you to pray for.

2 Thessalonians 1:11:
So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do.

PETITION . . . . . . . . . . . .
Ask God for spiritual, emotional, physical, financial, & relational help–ask, seek, knock.

Matthew 7:7-11:
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. “You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

THANKSGIVING . . . . . . . . . . . .
Think over your life and thank God for what He has done & what He is doing for you now.

Colossians 3:17:
And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Philippians 4:6-7:
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

MEDITATION . . . . . . . . . . . .
Pick an attribute of God or a verse and focus intently on it, turning it over in your mind.

Joshua 1:8:
Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

LISTENING . . . . . . . . . . . .
Mentally absorb divine instructions from God, concerning specific matters for that day.

Psalm 81:13:
Oh, that my people would listen to me! Oh, that Israel would follow me, walking in my paths!

SINGING . . . . . . . . . . . .
Sing directly to God songs of praise, thanksgiving, petition, or whatever is on your heart.

Ephesians 5:19:
. . . singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts.
